Description
The study of members of the family Sphaerodoridae (Polychaeta) collected by CNEXO cruises in deep water in the Eastern Atlantic demonstrates the importance of the family in the bathyal zone. The specimens collected belong to eight species of which seven are new ; one is previously known from Antartica. None of these species are known from deep water in the Western Atlantic, demonstrating the importance of endemism in this family. [NOT CONTROLLED OCR]
