Description
A comparative haematological study of erythrocytic constants (erythrocytic numeration, haematocrit, haemoglobin, VGM, TGMH, CCMH) in some species of marine and freshwater fishes is envisaged. The comparison of these results shows that marine fishes have more circulant erythrocytes than the freshwater species as well as a weak VGM, CCMH values are rather constant (22%) for both categories. The occurrence of an adaptative mechanism allowing a better oxygenation of tissues is also discussed.
