Statistiques biologiques et considérations sur la population harenguière de la Manche orientale et du sud de le Mer du Nord, matériel prélevé en 1930

The following "biological statistics" summarize the observations carried out throughout the year 1930 on the "harenguiere" (herring) fisheries in the southern North Sea and the eastern entrance of the English Channel. They are the follow up of those published on a regular basis (1) since we started, in 1926, the monitoring of this herring population which gathers every year, from October to February, to lay eggs on the spawning areas located at the entrance of the English Channel: from Gris-Nez to the mouth of the Seine, then, around the Dyck and the Sandettié, in the southern part of the North Sea.
