Description
In this report, the economic sectors of oyster and mussel culture will be studied in turn using the same methodology: based on a survey of professionals, a classification scheme of the players in these sectors is proposed. Three groups of players were analysed for each sector, excluding all quantitative data. The obtained results revealed heterogeneous determining factors in the structuring of the oyster and mussel culture sectors. The study of the development in both sectors uncovered the main factor that drives progress in each sector: -problems in marketing the oyster production; -factors limiting growth in mussel production.
