Description
The French Mediterranean seine boats caught respectively 1,566 t of red tuna in 1978 and 1,527 t in 1979. In parallel, the catches made with gillnets reached 31 t in 1978 and 51 t in 1979. As for the previous years, the data on the development and production of these two campaigns was collected at the centre of Sète thanks to an on-going relationship with fishing and fish trade professionals.
