Description
The statistical analysis of the geochemistry on a great number of manganese nodules samples (collected on an area of 2.25 10(6) square kilometers, between the Clarion and Clipperton fractures zones) allowed us to precise the relationships existing between 14 contained chemical elements. These samples have been divided in several groups in regard of their geochemistry. Each group indicates a different manganese nodules facies, in which the mineralogy of the manganesiferous phasis seams to have a particular comportment. The silice and the associated elements seams to have an influence on the manganese nodules formation and growth. [NOT CONTROLLED OCR]
