Before I get to the heart of the matter, I would like to precise the main objectives of this cruise as well as the conditions in which it took place. A year earlier, we had managed to obtain for the first time 12 000 Atlantic wolffish fries from farmed spawners. Therefore we had to demonstrate that these experiments were repeatable and that they could be adapted to a mass production leading to the rearing of 30 000 to 50 000 fries. These are the terms of the collaboration contract between the C.N.E.X.O. and the Sete Station.
