The repopulation of the oyster deposits of the Auray River seems to take place with a lot less intensity downstream than upstream. One might take into account the fact that the bottom of the oyster part of the river (Ours, Rohello, Loqueltas banks) counts less adult oysters than the top (Rosnarho, Plessis, Marie, Sainte-Avoye banks). But one must also note that the deposits stand next to each other and that the top of the most upstream bank is only 5 kilometres away from the bottom of the most downstream one. Consequently, the oyster larvae from the "abounding" part of the river can easily, thanks to the currents, go and fix in the "poorer" part. [...]
