This appendix aims to assess the fuel consumption of vessels that fish the king scallop in St. Brieuc Bay. Assessments were done with respect to the technical characteristics of the vessels. The results are intended to help calculate the cost of fishing effort in a bio-economic model that simulates the dynamics of the king scallop fishery (J. Gates, "A bioeconomic model for the coquille St Jacques fishery in the Bay of St Brieuc", IFREMER, working document DRV/SDA no. 86.05).
