Description
Exploratory trawl fishing was performed in the Southern Adriatic Sea. Comparison of bionomic characteristics and bottom fauna of Southern Adriatic with Southern Tyrrenian ones, led to the following observations: a bathymetric expansion of the bathyl biocoenosis horizons, absence of spp which are very abundant in Southern Tyrrenian bathyal biocoenosis, reduction of mean size for some spp, a general impoverishment of the bathyal biocoenosis itself, presence of new sp for the Adriatic sea.
