All considerations about halieutic stocks inevitably had to attain the recognition of relations which are established between the resource and its natural environment. These phenomenons are exposed in the first part. About consequences of human interventions, both of these aspects must be taken into account: the introduction of new species and fishing. Second part deals with the use of models in stock management.
