Description
The structure of the otoliths of the deep-sea Macrourid Coryphaenoides guentheri was determined by means of scanning electron microscopy. The structure of the concentric zones is the same as in otoliths of fish from upper layers and cyclic phenomena exist for deep-sea fish as well. [NOT CONTROLLED OCR]
