Description
During the past 20 years, numerous sedimentological studies in the Gironde have outlined the sedimentological evolution of this macrotidal coastal plain estuary. An ongoing study of bathymetric charts of the estuary, dating back to the 18th century have shown the main long term impacts of man made modifications on sedimentation patterns.
