Période d'éclosion des larves d'araignée (Maia squinado, Herbst) en baie d'Audierne (Bretagne sud) en 1979 et 1980

Zooplancton was sampled at Plogoff (in the northern part of the bay of Biscay) from april 1979 to march 1981, according to a fortnightly frequency from apri1 to october. This paper presents the results obtained about the Larvae of the Spinous Spider Crab (Maia squinado, Herbst). For the two annual cycles considered, seasonal variations in abundançe of zoeal and megalopa stages were represented. Variations in abundance of the first zoeal stage permits us to specify the extend of hatching period in the area concerned. Comparaison with data obtained at Flamanville (west coast of Cotentin, English Channel) and at Paluel (French East coast of English Channel) shows differences between regions in hatching development and permits us to suggest an hypothesis about the number of annual spawnings for each female.
