Le thon rouge (thunnus thynnus L.) en mer du nord et dans l'atlantique nord-est

The recurring presence of Red tuna (Thunnus Thynnus L.) in the North Sea and the North-East Atlantic has once again been confirmed throughout the last two years of 1927-1928. They were spotted from June to December at the times and places where they had previously been observed (1), and mainly on the south-west coast of Ireland, off the Blaskets, in July; on the north coast of Ireland (Klondyke Grounds) where they were particularly abundant in July and August 1928; on the west coast of Scotland in July; on the south and west coasts of Norway from July to October; in the Skagerack and the Kattegat during the same period, and finally in the North Sea off the east coast of England from July to October. In November and December the trawlers working on the Grande Sole on the continental shelf could see groups of them frolicking around at the surface.
