Description
Between latitudes 45°30' (Canso) and 52° (Belle-Isle) is a large depression in which recent glacial modelling left visible marks everywhere, in the runnels of the valley, in the rock bars and frontal moraines, in the deposits of the lateral moraine boulders. These marks sometimes make it difficult to approach the docks in which the small coastal villages used to unload the boats that used to sail back and forth to Quebec City for communication purposes and now transport pulpwood.
