Description
Extending a reflection upon the flexibility of artisanal fishing (DABAT et al., 1990; REY, 1991-b), the aim of this communication is linked to a set time scale that would be short term. Changing the time scale modifies the level of interrogation: the point is no longer to consider flexibility from a productive point of view as the property of a system but decision-making flexibility as an adaptation process in the context of a transformation of the system.
