It is difficult to draw a general conclusion for a study so limited in space and in time. We have seen that the hydrological regime in the Gibraltar Strait is subject to rapid fluctuations and the overall nature of the exchange flow between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea can only be summarised after a large number of observations at permanent stations.In a certain manner, each chapter constitutes a separate study that progressively highlights new elements and that has its own conclusion. For this reason, we content ourselves with a review of the main points that were considered.After a brief historical account of the different oceanographic cruises in the Gibraltar Strait, we examined a vertical section and two horizontal sections of hydrological parameters, one on the threshold of Gibraltar and the other near the Tariff meridian, at comparable times corresponding to pivotal tide times....
