Evolution de la salinité dans le bassin de Marennes-Oléron

We studied salinity in the basin of Marenes-Oléron starting from the data of the hydrological network of follow-up set up by IFREMER in the basin and starting from simulations with the assistance of an horizontal bidimensional model. The data enabled us to characterize the evolution of sali nit y at long and medium range and simulations allowed us to complete this board with the short-range variations, in particular with regard to the variabilily due to the cycle of tides. The long-term trend varies little and does not show any clear augmentation or reduction over the studied period. The saisonnality, on the other hand, presents more significant variations. The fluctuations of salinity due ta the neap tides and spring tides cycle and the cycle of tide itself are of the same order of magnitude as that of the trend apart from the estuary of Charente where they are much more significant
