Evolution de la richesse biologique du Bassin d'Arcachon

The integrated study of the Arcachon Basin has several components. Some participants studied changes in the constraints on the ecosystem, natural (weather, water and soil) and human (professional activities and tourism on the basin and its immediate environment). Our contribution focuses, for its part, the assessment of the biological richness of the environment, ie to consider the living compartment (animal and plant) within this ecosystem. This work has been to unite and to order the data on aquatic flora and fauna populations of the Basin. When observations on a group were consistent enough to undertake comparisons across time, we have attempted to characterize and explain its evolution over time. However, there are circumstances where this analysis is rendered impossible by the disparity of information relating to different periods of history. In these cases, our work was limited to compile existing data.
