Labelled compounds open the way to the study of feed intake mechanisms and assimilation by mollusks and crustacean. When coupling bioassay and modelling, those studies will bring consistent input to the knowledge of fluxes between the animal and its environment (feed, dissolved substances, C02, bacteria). Analog models are used as tool to better understand feed intake and assimilation in shrimp cultured in tanks
