Description
The distribution of three groups of zooplanktonic animals, chosen to represent the carnivorous trophic level (Medusae : Liriope tetraphylla ; Siphonophora Diphyidae ; Chaetognaths) is studied from samples of three cruises in the upwelling zone of Moroccan Coast. Four areas can be distinguished because their populations are not homogeneous Correlations between abundance of these three groups and parameters of upwelling system : temperature, depth, phytoplankton and zooplankton biomasses, show that only one species : Liriope tetraphylla can be related to these factors.
