Description
This paper describes some stages of gametogony and sporogony of Ixoreis psychropotae ng. nsp., hemal and digestive sporozoan parasite of the abyssal holothurian Psychropotes longicauda.Through the trophozoïte development, this sporozoan is closely related to Coccidia. The uninucleate sporoblasts are formed out of the nuclei that appear on the copula's surface. The cysts, extremely numerous in certain areas, have n sporokysts containing each 2 sporozoïtes.The possibilities of cyts' elimination are discussed. [NOT CONTROLLED OCR]
