Description
The author describes a new sp of gonostomatiid fish of the gen Cyclothone Goode and Bean, 1883 which, as C.acclinidens Garman, 1899, has long oblique teeth in the posterior part of the upper jaw. The new sp. C.pseudoacclinidens from the north-eastern Atlantic, differs from Pacific sp, C.acclinidens, by the number of rays of the ventral fins. fins, the number of gill rakers on the first gill arch and the length of gill lamellae.
